The Story Behind LUX
It started in Salt Lake City in 1995, with a passion for food and the power it has to bring people together. Thirty years later, what we deliver goes far beyond the plate.
Our in-house team of chefs, designers, florists, bartenders, and producers work together to create something most other catering companies can’t—an event that’s uniquely yours. We don’t have a signature look. But you do. Designing an event that brings your story to life is what we love most about being LUX.
Our commitment to design and culinary innovation has earned us a place among the best in the industry. Events for Good
B Corp certification is reserved for businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, to balance profit and purpose. It’s a global movement of people using business as a force for good–working toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high quality jobs with dignity and purpose. Fewer than 11,000 companies in the world have earned it. LUX Catering & Events is proud to be a certified B Corp, and it shapes everything we do.
Beyond the Table
At LUX, doing good isn’t separate from doing great events. We give back a portion of our annual revenue through charitable donations and event sponsorships, and partner with over a dozen nonprofit and cultural organizations throughout Utah.
Three to five times a week, a member of a local rescue operation comes to our facility to collect excess food from our events, delivering warm meals to local shelters, youth outreach programs, and others in need. Several members of our team serve on the boards of local community and charitable organizations, and we regularly join panels, workshops, and speak at universities and conferences to share what we’ve learned and give back to our industry.
