Operations Specialist
LUX is in search of a highly motivated, attentive, and reliable individual to be an essential part of our team as an Operations Specialist. This pivotal role demands a hard-working personality with a sharp eye for detail and the flexibility to work various hours.
As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring that each event is equipped with the necessary materials. Your tasks will include maintaining LUX vehicles, organizing and tracking inventory, and collaborating closely with our Logistics department to meet any arising needs. This involves the pickup and drop-off of equipment, managing rentals to ensure everything is accounted for and returned on time, and ensuring events are properly packed. Additionally, you will provide support to other departments as needed.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform opening procedures which include runs from front to back to ensure all equipment is clean and put away from previous day events, checking for needs lists on events that day and checking for truck returns/pickups that day.
- Pull all necessary equipment timely and with accuracy for events
- Monitor the condition, cleanliness, and quantity of re-usable service items such as chafers, beverage/coffee dispensers, and service utensils
- Monitor chef kits and staff boxes and restock as needed
- Restocking staff area with cutlery and disposables as needed after lunch each day
- Fuel company vehicles and maintain cleanliness inside and out
- Loading and unloading vehicles with equipment for upcoming or returned events as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment and organize work spaces daily - Friday walk through of warehouse to ensure all equipment is in it’s correct location and ready to go for the next week
- Perform closing procedures which include emptying trash as needed, walking through warehouse and putting items away properly and double checking all pull lists for the next day for accuracy and completion
- Assisting facilities manager/operations lead with building projects for special event equipment
- Additional responsibilities include inventory, driving company vehicles, loading and unloading equipment from vehicles, cleaning up from lunch, organizing work area, polishing glassware and maintaining a clean work space.
Qualifications:
- Desire to come to work consistently and on time.
- Safe driving record with a valid driver’s license
- Time management skills and task oriented without supervision
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Ability to read and write in English professionally.
- Utah Food Handlers Permit Required, will reimburse to obtain
Physical Requirements:
- This Job requires a high level of physicality. Must be able to consistently move for up to 8-10 hours at a time.
- Regularly required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25-60 lbs
- Must be able to work in various weather/temperature conditions when conducting pulls, set ups or tear down of events.
