Charcuterie Board Tips
Starting a Charcuterie board can feel overwhelming, so here are some tips and tricks to make the board of your dreams!
Before building decide how many types of meats, cheeses, and condiments you want to use. Think about what pairs well together and get a good mix of different textures and colors. Other than meats and cheeses, consider adding things like pickles, dried or fresh fruits, honey, and don’t forget the crackers!
Next, select a beautiful board based on the amount of people you will be feeding. Don’t be afraid to pick a bigger board and add some decor elements like greenery or jars of honey and jam. Look for bowls to add bread or crackers if they won’t fit on the board.
When you’re cutting the meats and cheeses, utilize different shapes and sizes! You can cut them into triangles, cubes, thin slices, and more! Using a rough shape with your cheese rather than a clean slice can add gorgeous texture! Begin with a focal point on the board and build around it. Fill in any spaces with your condiments or breads and crackers. Once you’ve mastered your charcuterie board making skills, try it with desserts or pastries instead!
