LUX Culinary Staff Prepares, produces, cooks, and serves, as needed, a variety of foods from fresh or frozen state according to recipes and assists in other related tasks as directed. Must have ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Responsible 100% for quality of all food they produce
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies.
- Helps to prep in all areas as needed or asked by chef
- Clean and reassemble all kitchen equipment without supervision.
- Knows and follows food safety and sanitation rules | guidelines as set up by Salt Lake County health
- Can work well with all coworkers
- Looks to sharpen their butchery, pastry, cooking and organizational knowledge
- Sufficient at minor protein fabrication tasks
- Work with senior cooks on production
- Aids in dishwashing tasks
- Produce and work events
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
- Follow recipes to completion
- Handles, stores and rotates stock properly
- Basic knife and meat fabrication skills
- Work rapidly and efficiently in performing all job duties
- Work cohesively with peers and supervisors
- Apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
- Read and understand B.E.O’s completely
- Give direction and can supervise cook 1’s
- Attend events as needed in B.O.H.
- Able to set up and stock B.O.H. kitchen area as needed on events
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish for all dishes
