Operations Crew Member

We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Operations Crew Member to join our team at LUX Hospitality Group. The ideal candidate loves working behind the scenes, making sure an event flows like a well-oiled machine. This position entails pre, during, and post-event involvement. Job duties may include managing product logistics, inventory, maintaining cleanliness of the facility, and assisting with event setups, workflow, and teardowns at the Utah State Fairpark. We host events like Rodeos, Concerts, The State Fair, and more. You’ll be surrounded by a dynamic and hardworking crew, ready to take on all aspects of an event to ensure a positive outcome. This is a seasonal position from May-October. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in moving products to designated areas within the facility. This includes the safe handling and transportation of items, ensuring they are securely stored and easily accessible. 
  • Keep the facility clean and well-maintained. This involves regular cleaning tasks as well as setting up and dismantling spaces for events according to specific requirements.
  • Support the Operations Director in picking up products from vendors and managing inventory lists. This includes organizing and maintaining dry product shelves to ensure inventory is orderly and easily trackable. 
  • Engage with customers and team members positively and effectively, ensuring a high level of service and teamwork. 
  • Understand and perform maintenance and upkeep tasks on equipment and buildings at the fairpark to ensure they are in good working condition. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift items weighing 50-100 lbs. Must be capable of standing for extended periods and comfortable working outdoors, especially during summer months.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes. 
  • Flexible availability is a must. The candidate should be able to work nights, weekends, and potentially during holidays, depending on event scheduling and operational needs.
  • A passion for working in a collaborative environment, with a keen interest in being part of the action and making significant contributions to team efforts.


  • Previous experience in operations, logistics, or a similar field is preferred but not mandatory. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Obtain a food handlers permit and Utah Alcohol server permit 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and procedures.
